I lovemy new hackintosh but I am having just one problem ... it might be a bug but am not sure. I have searched the forums but cant find anything for it.

I am trying to disable my screensaver, but it still comes on even though the slider is on "Never"

Anyone else having this issue ?

common prob not only with a Kalyway install..same prob here too..10.5.4 (xnu.kernel for proper shutdown)

I had the same problem with my Kalyway 10.5.2, I read this morning that you can download and use Caffeine to control it though I've not gotten to test that. It's not clear whether it's a bug or a feature to prevent burn-in... I've also found that running XP on Parallels in another of the Leopard screens prevents the screensaver from kicking in - which is good because after about an hour of screensaver I get a kernel panic and have to restart... Very frustrating - anyone else have this problem?

Same problem here on iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5

Downloaded caffeine and it works without a hitch - no more screensaver for my HTPC :(

EDIT: Only problem though, is that you have to reenable it after reboots (only take one click on the menu line icon). But the site says that is is scriptable so it should be possible to auto-enable it.

Agreed. Having now installed and used Caffeine I can also vouch for it and say that it works well! In addition after I upgraded Kalyway 10.5.2 to 10.5.5 by Mysticus's method and using Kernel 9.4.0 (I think, and possible in combination with removing my ASUS USB Wireless Stick and replacing it with a PCI Wireless card) I no longer suffer from those Kernel panics! W00t. I think my uptime has been a week or more!
