skyfox
Intel's D915GMH board appears to have a TPM chip like the Apple Dev machines: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/...b/cs-015012.htm Would this be enough to make Marklar-Tiger work, or does the chip have to be programmed by Apple? You can buy the board for $98 + $2.50 at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813121282 Anybody got a C-note to donate to science? gwyllion
HP machines use the Infineon TPM as well. For other motherboard and machine with this TPM (Infineon is the market leader in TPMs), just look at http://www.tonymcfadden.net/tpmvendors.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93-intel-mobo-with-tpm/#findComment-866 Share on other sites
bofors
Right idea, wrong boards. Try looking here: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/ux/ux...x_available.htm The D915GUXLK or D915GHALK boards (which differ in spec only by warranty) appear to be what Apple is using in the Dev Kits. They use the same Infineon 1.1b TPM and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 (GMA 900). http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1146 Availible here for $105: Provantage Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93-intel-mobo-with-tpm/#findComment-893 Share on other sites
rojaz
so, with the right processor (sse3), and motherboard (which has the chipset and graphics) you could install direct? all you would have to do is find a copy of Developer Kit Install DVD, and you would be good to go? if this is true, i would think of just building me a computer like that. wouldnt be that expensive. im very curious if with the right hardware, there could be a direct install.
