Alessandro17
http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/new...s-graphics-game AMD RELEASED THE 780G chipset yesterday, and it is going to change the graphics game. The firm has done the seemingly impossible - made an integrated graphics part that does not immediately draw ridicule from all sides. It is actually good. I am not a big AMD fan, but I hope this is the beginning of a new era for integrated graphics. apowerr
Wow, those numbers are pretty astonishing. This would be particularly useful in notebooks since its low on the wattage. Years ago both my sister (first) and I had notebooks with integrated graphics which sucked beyond belief. SpeedfreaK
i dont think that apple will make macbooks with amd chipsets i think that this is quite useless because when you are a gamer, you'll need much more power and when you're not a gamer you don't need such 3dmark scores. There are people who need a notebook but can't afford an Alienware, and yet would like to play the occasional game. Similarly there are people who buy desktops but can't afford to spend a lot of money, My first hackintosh had a GMA950 after all, and I could play some simple game. U.C.
AFAIK the performance of a 3200 is more or less equal to a 2400. Thus I really think it will satisfy my need to play TimeShift with Med-High Settings at 1280x800. My 2600XT is not that much more powerful than the 2400. So Gaming should be pretty good on it. intel352
My wife's computer has a 2600 HD installed, and performance on my computer (with 3200 HD) is about the same. Pretty damn good value for an IGP. Nice stop-gap until I get a separate card.
