~pcwiz
Okay, tons of people are asking how to create their own OSx86 discs. norebonomis
currently the only way i have gotten OSX up and running was to install 3 different verisions of OSx86 out there, on top of one another, i am trying to make myself a custom DVD, but this is not easy... i'm going to use this patch and see if it will run without any further hacks to my system i'm curious if someone is willing to post a detailed explanation of creating your own custom dvd with adding your own packages, etc an easy to use GUI for creating a custom image would be nice wish i knew more about programming, i was examining the script acsosicated with the patch, i can see where you would add your own packages, but do i also have to modify a .mpkg too? do i need developer tools to do this? oooh the patch is finished ttfn
norebonomis
The script pack from the AquaMac forum works very well.Takes a while to initially make the dvd, as you have to DL all the required updates but it is very easy to do if you follow the instructions. I did my install dvd with the latest Natit for my 2600xt and it installs perfectly. Its good to SEE and HEAR the welcome screen after the first install. Makes it all worthwhile. Doing some further customizing to get a few other issues working correctly. Namely HD icons, Sytem profiler to display my CPU name correctly, and the ICH8R controller. I can Install 10.5.2 on my system now in under 30 minutes. Great stuff. could you provide a link to these script packs? this patch did not work for me, install went ok but i get stuck and apple logo screen w/ swirly circle thing and a small square box pops up with a circle and slash., right now im in the process of installing 10.4.6 JAS + 10.5.0 TOH, seems like the only way to get leopard up and running.... after i have it working can i make a custom install to match all the kexts installed? do i just look at my extentions folder to find what kexts i need installed? forget this i am just going to use a time machine backup to save my perfectlyworking fresh install. although it is 10.5.0 this works for me because i have two hard drives

ritalin
Utility to automatically create your own 10.5.2 disc with your own packageshttp://aquamac.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=hack1&action=display&thread=496 To say "with your own packages" isn't entirely true. The script builds a 10.5.2 DVD in addition to other recent (at the time of posting) Apple updates. I'm thinking of adding the ability to add your own kext to the DVD since people seem to want that feature. At the moment the script is quite slow to run (it's based of the old BrazilMac script) I am thinking of rewriting it to try and speed it up. If I can find time I hope to do some more work on this tomorrow (Sun 15th Mar). I will try and release an updated version tomorrow. It should be considered Beta as it will probably be full of bugs. I'm no computer genius, by trade I'm an HGV mechanic. If you what something that will just work, you'd be better to wait for the new JaS DVD.
