~pcwiz
You can't just use a normal Apple disc for installing. But there is a patch method thats not very convenient that you can use to patch your disc: http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2008 However if you are a newbie, this method may prove too hard. Downloading a DVD like Kalyway 10.5.1 would make it much easier. Aruba
I also have a ASUS P5N-E SLI mobo with a Q6600 Quad-Core processor and 8GB of RAM. No luck for me... I patched the original DVD successfully and it boots (Darwin). But after the -v -x (etc.) it auto restarts and I need to start over. Infinite loop, 0 luck. Let me know if somebody successfully managed to install with this combo. Gujal
As your motherboard is nForce chipset based, you will be better off with iAtkos 1.0i r3 the r3 is important as it includes nforce specific kexts Other option in Leo4all v2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91213-problem-installing-leopard-1051-on-a-asus-p5n-e-sli/#findComment-703198 Share on other sites

You'll run into an issue with 4gb of ram if you have 4 sticks. I had to downclock my memory and up the northbridge voltage to get 4 gigs to work. (down to 667 instead of 800). Alot of people have been having issues with it, as for the mac dvd, i had the same issue with the kalyway distro, you are better off getting the iAtkos due to it working with the nforce chipset Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91213-problem-installing-leopard-1051-on-a-asus-p5n-e-sli/#findComment-707636 Share on other sites
