It's all installed and barring getting network working, I have a shiny new Leopard to play with. However, there is just one minor, but really annoying thing that is stopping it from being my OS of choice and that is how the mouse feels with my Logitech G7.

There is a really huge difference to how the mouse feels in Windows and how it behaves in OSX. I'm guessing that issue is mouse acceleration.

So I've tried installing the logitech drivers but when I open the panel in preferences it tells me I have no Logitech devices connected. So I install USB Overdrive to try and turn off acceleration and that helped a little, but for sure its still there.

I tried a mighty mouse and that's fine. I even tried a crappy dell laser mouse and that's not too bad either. But I have a $70 mouse and I want to use it!

Can anyone help me with this problem. It's driving me insane. I can't be using After Effects and Photoshop if my mouse isn't moving exactly right.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I'd just like to let you know, I have a G5 and I felt the same way when I installed for the first time, now I'm used to it and its second nature to me.

But there is one program that i found called SteerMouse. That allowed me to get rid of the acceleration and put more useful commands to the extra buttons.

Play with it you'll understand.

I actually just installed SteerMouse before coming back here, and yes, this is a great program. Much better than USB Overdrive.

My mouse isn't perfect, but its MUCH better than before. Plus I now get full control over the buttons which is great. Expose on the thumb button is awesome.

Thanks for the replies guys.
