Woohooo

Post your question & errors here ^^

FAQ #1: Boot.plist not found:

Hey man, you mind helping me?

Here's my specs:

HP Pavilion dv6439nr

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core TK-53 (512KB L2 Cache)

160GB 5400RPM (SATA) HD

2GB DDR2 Memory (2x 1024MB)

802.11b/g Broadcom Integrated Wireless

I have installed the Zephyroth 10.5.2 AMD on my laptop and everything installed fine, when I boot up it hangs. I'm using GUID and got all that configured correctly. It seems that when the boot screen comes up, there's no response from the hard drive. I get the following:

Okay. Post your laptop specs here. *EXACTLY*

I recommend you install uphuck 1.4a on VMWare first because both release (Uphuck & Zephyroth) have problem with SATA driver.

Uphuck doesnt have the driver, Zephyroth has but he forgot to edit kext permission :P

(I will be back 3 hours later. My friends're calling :))

Really? Will he be releasing a new PPF or ISO?

amd turion 64x2, geforce 8400m gs, samsung hm250ji ata device,slimti+y dvd a ds8a1h ata device,chipset nvidia nforce 520 .hp 6500 series

Okay, then upload your console screen when you boot here.

Once again, I recommend you use uphuck 1.4a 10.4.9 or Zephyroth 10.5.2

Really? Will he be releasing a new PPF or ISO?

Maybe his next release :( I'm not sure since I don't have time to research for making a DVD :(

Napster:

Here's whatI've got -

dv8135nr (dv8000 series)

AMD Turion 64

x200 chipset (i think)

Acronis Disk Selector to mange dual boot

XP running on 1 Drive, other formatted mac journaled+ (MBR)

I've had 10.4.11 running perfect minus qe/ci of course...

Here is my problem, I'm trying to get Zephyroth 10.5.2 -

Here's what I've tried to install from the custom setup:

Latest kernal (can't remember the #)

ac97 sound driver (kext)

broadcomm wireless driver (kext)

**Note the install freezez at the end if I try to add the pci efi mbr

Install works great, then try to reboot - select the hackintosh drive, and use -v

runs through loads kernal then shows dv8000 then freezes, can't get past there..

Any ideas what i should try next? I'll wait for feedback..

If you need more info, please let me know and I'll do my best to provide it.

Put your errors screen with option -v when boot here. I think the problem is about the SATA kext.

btw, give me your specs of HDD chipsets.

When I tried to install Zephyroth, I had the same problem like this. Then I don't know how to fix, and I don't want to waste my blank DVDs ^_^ So I installed Uphuck 10.4.9 on my VMWare and replaced the kext.

i dont know what to do!laptop simpli freezes wen i try to partition or delet disk.i think my problem its on bios laptop

This is caused by SATA kext. Use Medevil kext will solve problem.

Or you want to try my method: Install MacOS with VMWare on physical HDD. It should be worked, and then do the kext installing, blah blah blah

I'm just a newbie too but I think I point the place to fix ^^

Need help pls:

Trying Zephyroth 10.5.2

Running HP Laptop dv8000 series

AMD Turion64

x200 chipset(i think that is the chipset, right?)

So I had 10.4.11 running near perfect, but I want Leopard.

Have completly formatted drive MBR HFS+

install options - Kernal 9.1.3( whichever is the latest one)

addtional fonts

3rd party driver selected:

AC97 audio

WAN - Broadcomm

X11 -Unchecked

Efi -MBR option (do I really need this? I ran 10.4.11 w/o EFI)

Install hangs with 1min left - reboot into install cd and go directly back into install - all goes well install done reboot

Darwin Flag used -v

okay so here is where it gets tricky.. lots happens quickly can't write it all down:

This phrase is in BRIGHT Yellow:

failed to load extension com.orByte driver.PCGenUSBEHCI

then some more text

Then

Starting AppleACPIP2NUB

Found mouse PNP device

AppleACPIP2NUB startup complete

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A8387) Kernal trap at 0x2483794d, type 14=page fault, registers

"bunch of #'s here"

Error code:0x00000003

debugger called:<panic>

"more #'s"

com.apple.driver.AppleInterCPUPowerManagement(925.0)

BSD process name corresponding to correct thread : kernal_task

MAC OS Version:

Not set yet

Darwin Kernal version 9.1.0 blah blah blah

System Model name : Pavilion dv8000(EP409UA#ABA)

THEN IT FREEZES ---------

Any ideas????

What do to if a have the "still waiting for root device"-problem?

I can install it on my dv6560en but after i intalled it will reboot and then the "still waiting for root device"-message came up. i dont find any settings in bios that could have anything to do with this sata problem... maybe i can install in on an external usb drive?
