Hello,

I have two last problems I need to have worked out before I order my new Windows Gaming - Macintosh Music Creating Hackintosh!

Here's my first question:

Is there I way I can connect both of my PCs to transfer 8.92GB of files without burning a DVD (No DVD burner on computer that has files!).

Can I put an ethernet cable in both computer ports and do it that way?

I need to get all of my Tiger-x86 files in the folder to my new computer so I can dd the image to a partition and still keep my files on Mac OS X. Any ideas?

Second question:

On my new computer, what would be the best motherboard to buy? And these are my only choices.

Any one of those good?

I just need to have the following: Sound, Ethernet, hopefully QI, CI and OpenGL on my Radeon x1900 (maybe with some modded kexts? I've heard x1800 works.

Yes, this should work one way or another. Otherwise, just temporarily hook your burner up to your old PC.

The boards with Intel chipsset (945, 975) should work good. If the 975 Asus is certified to work with Conroe that might be a great choice. However, you still need to check the specific audio and LAN chips to know exactly what you will be dealing with. The 975 Asus's Realtek ALC882M should be workable for at least audio output.
