bhz
I have the same processor (3800+, except the socket, here is AM2) and my motherboard is the ASUS M2N-E (chipset Nvidia 570 or something like this). I installed the Zephyroth release, but I don't know why, it doesn't recognize my SATA HD AFTER the install... Anyone could help me?! danerd100
BEN: I am running mine with a processor very similar to yours (just a bit better) and I used the zephyroth build. It took me a very long time to get it working, but the people on the forum are very helpful. If you have any questions, google it, and ask on the forum HEY: Before I install Zephyroth build do I have to do anything to my bios settings? I thought I had heard you had to do this. If so where can I get good info? Thanks! You have to change the boot order so dvd drive boots first. If you have a ps2 mouse AND keyboard, you should disable usb functionality. If you have one of each, I am not exactly how to do it, search the forums for that BHZ: Nvidia chipsets have problems alot, you can google how to get it in there, I am not 100% sure on how to do that Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90230-how-does-the-osx-leopard-work-on-amd/page/2/#findComment-648075 Share on other sites
numberonekiwi
I installed from original disc but used shrinker to eliminate files to burn to single layer I then used marvins utility to make files compatable with AMD then replaced the kernel burnt to single layer DVD and installed , used marvins utility again on the installed HD and replaced the kernel again (now on DVD) This should work for most systems but if your only O/S is windoze then after installing try coping mach_kernel from the DVD to your root directory (you will need to boot to DVD installer and use terminal) with my setup/installer DVD the mach_kernel file is compressed into the installer somewhere Don't ask me the exact commands to do this I do not know as I already had a working 10.4.x to work from Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90230-how-does-the-osx-leopard-work-on-amd/page/2/#findComment-649593 Share on other sites
