  1. Hi, I have followed several guides: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298521-easy-yosemite-1010-final-usb-installer-updated-10162014/ and http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/301138-new-usb-installer-os-x-yosemite-chameleon-enoch-r2403/ for examples, and whenever I have a flash drive plugged in that was created with those guides, my bios hang at "Press esc for boot menu/delete for bios" but pressing esc/delete do nothing, and my computer eventually just reboots. If I format the drives after that on my windows Machine to Get Chameleon installed (Because it's not currently on any of my hard drives) onto the flash drives, everything loads fine. I have the files for Chameleon from who knows when, so I'm not sure about the version, but could there be an issue with a bootloader incompatibily? Any other thoughts as to what else could be wrong?
  2. 10.9.2 update lost QE/CI

Thanks, I tried using the kexts in that and whenver I rebooted I still had no QE/CI. Is it possible that something could be conflicting with those?
  3. 10.9.2 update lost QE/CI

Greetings, I have a Raedon 6770 Graphics card and am running Mavericks just fine on 10.9.1. However, when I made several attempts to update to 10.9.2 (and 10.9.3), I lost all graphics support (sorry if I lose track of terminology, it's been a while since I've ran into issues) and I could only use mirrored monitors (it only detected one monitor) and I had no QE/CI. I remember making several attempts to get Mavericks working properly and I honeslty do not remember which method I used to finally get my graphics working. It might have been special kexts, but I also found an EFI string in com.apple.boot.plist (and org.chameleon.boot.plist) which may be related. Anywho, is there a good way to find kexts that may not belong/may have been modified? Or is there any reason that the EFI string would have stopped working with my upgrade if that's what it was? If it helps, the EFI string that I'm using is: Thanks in advance, and let me know if there is anything else I can do to give you more info -Danerd100 Edit: On a side note, if I'm using chameleon, does com.apple.boot.plist actually get used still or does it use Extra\org.chameleon.boot.plist only (or both)?
  4. Greetings, I have a hackintosh that has been VERY stable, however it recently it has started to run in a strange manner. First note that the only recent change that I can remember is that I installed USB 3.0 drivers from a tool which is provided that I cannot mention here (latest version), however that was 2 weeks before this started happening. I first noticed it with Chrome, the page would load, and just load half-way... the scrollbar wouldn't work and neither would links. When I closed chrome, I had to force-quit it otherwise it stayed open. I then began to notice it happening with everything (except apparently Safari). I tried rebooting, and the reboot froze half-way through, so I went ahead and rebooted using the button. Since then, this has happened pretty much daily. Would anybody have any idea as to what could be happening?
  5. Here's the situation: I have a good install of Snow Leopard on hard drive a. I just bought a new hard drive, and want to clone my SL to that partition due to space constraints on the first drive. I used CCC to clone it, and the copy went perfectly. The only problem is that I can't boot from the second drive. I can, however, boot from the first drive to the second drive (use the chameleon gui and select the SL partition on the second drive) but I plan on wiping the first drive and using it for something else, so this isn't a permanent solution. I get the Boot0 Error when i attempt to boot from the 2nd drive. I have tried the typical fixes for this error, with no success. What I am thinking about doing is reformatting the second drive and partition it with GUID. Will this cause issues with the fact that the original partition (which I am cloning) is a MBR format?? Are there any other suggestions??? Your help is greatly appreciated
  6. Success on AMD

Wonderful, I've been wondering how that all goes down, thanks
  7. Success on AMD

Hey, I'm considering trying to get Lion to work, however, I was wondering, before I try, if anybody has had success on an AMD machine, and if so, which method they used Thanks in advance, Danerd100
  8. [Problem] Internet Connection

Please do some searching to find answers as I have posted this 3 times in two days: I had the same issue and I solved it using this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=29436 I know it says that the driver is for a realtek card but it worked for my onboard nforce card as well Anybody with the same issue, install the kext, reboot, and it should work... it's magical, I know...
  9. Taking a long time to load desktop

When I reinstall it works fine but then after a few boots with changes that shouldn't affect it, it starts again
  10. Taking a long time to load desktop

    Exact same problem here.
  11. Can't connect to the internet on 10.6.6.

  12. How to verify QE?

Hey I know it's off topic, but can u tell me how u got GeForce 8400GS? I've tried everything I've found searching but nothing worked... I get mouse lag any time I get graphics functional then I remove graphics and mouse works fine.
  13. [SOLVED] Doesn't boot after 10.6.6

Using This file worked for me. It says legacy_kernel 10.6.0 but it was necessary for me when I upgraded to 10.6.6. It might just be an AMD thing, but you can give it a try.
  14. Mouse Lag (GraphicsEnabler=Yes)

Anybody willing to offer help on this one??
  15. Hi everyone, I am running 10.6.6 (Hazard's Build) and from the moment I boot, the mouse starts to lag and continues lagging forever. I have tried removing appleupstream....kext (Can't remember the exact file name) I tried a disabler.kext, which removes the previously mentioned kext. The strange thing is that when I remove any EFI Strings and delete nvidia kexts, the mouse starts working again. The issue with this is that I only have single monitor support, no qe/ci and stuck at 1024x768 resolution. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to get this to work?? Note, this happens also when GraphicsEnabler=yes Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! (Note, see my signature for specs)
