Elgomez
Friends, I want to change my HACK, I'm gonna buy new pieces. Witch boards runs easily with the 10.5.2. I want to use a e6750 processor. Any idea? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89416-best-board-for-1052/ Share on other sites
poofyhairguy
I have a ga-p35-ds3l and everything works thanks to this guide: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=83689 I only get two sata ports out of it, but this is all I need. If you need more get its big brother: GA-P35-DS3R Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89416-best-board-for-1052/#findComment-643600 Share on other sites
Pliny
I just build a new Hac Pro this weekend. Here are my specs: DFI LANParty Dk P35-T2RS Core 2 Quad Q6600 Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4 x 1GB) DDR2800 (PC2-6400) Tuniq Tower 120 PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V EPS12V 610W More SATA hard drives than I can count (ok, 4) A really old Antec server case that still does the trick nVidia 6600GT (sadly) The DFI mobos have a reputation on the boards for being rock-solid with OSX, and so far I have not been disappointed. With the exception of the audio drivers, which took about 30 seconds to patch, everything works right off the install. I am still on 10.5.1 so I cannot speak specifically to 10.5.2, but I have zero reason to believe I'll have any trouble on account of the hardware. DFI boards are also eminently overclockable, and a big part of the reason to build a Hac Pro, price/performance, is realized through overclocking. Buy a 2.4 GHz q6600, crank it to 3.0+.
