ecstasy
After selected file delay, second click selects all text. Windows Explorer allows areas to be selected & edited with right-click cut/copy/paste. Mac Finder deselects text or forces journey up to top bar. How can right-click filename editing be done? R. Bear Helms
I believe they mean the name of the file, not actually cutting and pasting the data of the file around. There's no context menu for renaming a file under OS X. What you do is left click the icon once, then press return. Then you will be able to edit the file name, and the command keys for cut, copy, paste will work on the text that is the name for that file.
