rayman121985
Hey everyone, I have tried iAtkos,Kalaway,TOH, ect...but none work. They either give errors or stop working in the middle. Just so you know I haven't even made it to the actual apple install screen it never makes it. It just freezes up after a few minutes of the dvd being started...I either get this error System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found. or the screenshot below. On the screenshot below it stops here everytime. If anyone can guide me or help me I will happily donate paypal. Please let me know what you think I am doing wrong. As far as equipment goes I have 2GB of ddr2 ram sata DVDRW/SATA 160 GB HD..7300 videocard! E1200 celeron processor...a MSI 945gcm5 v2 mobo that comes in the MSI saturn barebone. So please come to my rescue gurus! This is a brand new build I just put together from newegg. The HD has never been used...I wondered if it needed to be formatted first ect...but I don't think thats it! I have read on this forum that other users have this mobo and it works just fine so it must be settings or something small I hope! Thanks and hope I haven't put this in the wrong area of the forum. Again Id love to donate if someone can help me. ::rayman:: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88778-installation-woes-using-any-leopard-hackintosh-cd/ Share on other sites
mobile2go
Hi, I can't go into details right now because I'm kinda tied up at the moment so I'll get back with you sometime tonight. But for starters I used the iAtkos Leo install and I was able to upgrade to 10.5.2 with no problems. Double check your settings in bios and make your you have something like bit execution enabled or something like that and make sure power saving in enabled. I just can't remember what's shown in bios word for word but I'll try to let you know tonight. GTOnizuka
wait for iATKOS 10.5.2 relase, maybe it will help you, or use nano into shell mode(boot with -s) and make your own com.apple.Boot.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88778-installation-woes-using-any-leopard-hackintosh-cd/#findComment-634128 Share on other sites

mobile2go
Hello, Do this, go to Advanced BIOS Features and make sure you have IOAPTC enabled, in CPU Features make sure Execute Disable Bit is enabled and Max CPUID Value is disabled. Go to Integrated Peripherals/On-Chip ATA devices and make sure On-chip IDE Controller is Enabled/PCI Bus Master is disabled and On-chip SATA Controller is set to IDE. Under Power Management make sure ACPI Function is enabled (THIS IS A MUST), and make sure Standby is set to S3. These are my settings and it works great this way and I hope this info helps you. rayman121985
Hey guys I did a total system rebuild. Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard Intel 6420 Core duo 2 GB GSKILL DDR2 800 EVGA 8800GTS 320 MB 1 500 GB SATA HD 1 250 GB IDE HD 1 SATA DVDR writer Thats the current setup as right now. Had to buy some parts but I saw where this build worked for lots of others. Now after I install with iATKOS or KALAWAY it reboots and says system config file 'com.apple.boot plist not found. Seems like its fate for me not to have a freaking hackintosh. I even removed the IDE HD to see if that was the deal. Did the same thing again! So again anyone know what the deal is with this message? What to do? I go through the installation...ect... Does that message mean the motherboard settings are not tweaked? $20 bucks via paypal if someone can help me get leopard running! Thanks, ::rayman:: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88778-installation-woes-using-any-leopard-hackintosh-cd/#findComment-641913 Share on other sites
elbasofolous
Hello,Do this, go to Advanced BIOS Features and make sure you have IOAPTC enabled, in CPU Features make sure Execute Disable Bit is enabled and Max CPUID Value is disabled.Go to Integrated Peripherals/On-Chip ATA devices and make sure On-chip IDE Controller is Enabled/PCI Bus Master is disabled and On-chip SATA Controller is set to IDE.Under Power Management make sure ACPI Function is enabled (THIS IS A MUST), and make sure Standby is set to S3.These are my settings and it works great this way and I hope this info helps you. mobile2go, could you tell me how exactly you're setup on your 945gcm5 v2 (ie drive type(ide/sata), leopard installer, bios version)??? i have the h.7 bios, which is the only one i could find, and the installer will only run if the ioapic option is disabled im running kalyway 10.5.1 but i have iAtkos 1.0ir as well and both of these flawlessly install on my other box, but kalyway is the only installer that even runs on this board(not even ToH, or my many flavors of tiger will work).when i boot up after installing in verbose, regardless of the ioapic option or setting cpus=1, i get to: MAC framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers...and it just hangs here for eternity. this also seems to be the issue with alot of other installers that will reach this point and hang, if they didnt just go into a reboot loop - but kalyway actually installs, just doesnt boot thereafter above here it says "appleacpiplatform" has immediate dependencies on com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi --- but it seems to move passed that without issues - my screen basically looks like the screenshot in post one without the last three lines If you or anyone has any ideas i'd greatly appreciate it - i thought this board was an ideal mack considering it has the 945 chipset :-) so im hoping i wasnt wrong Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88778-installation-woes-using-any-leopard-hackintosh-cd/#findComment-651490 Share on other sites

Hi mobile2go, I've got identical hardware, installing Kelyway 10.5.1 and am getting stuck in the exact same place as above. I've duplicated the settings you suggested, what else was required? I've tried installing under guid and mbr, both boot but get stuck. I needed to install using cpu=1, have tried both toh kernel and vanilla, all vanilla req files were installed... this is driving me crazy, I was thinking it was a hardware issue before, but as you've said you got it to work. Using an ide hdd and dvd-rom both on the same cable connected to ICH7. Hdd is a single HFS journaled partition. Have attempted using in inbuild video and my 8800gt, not fail at the same place. Any suggestions would *really* be appreciated! markopolo311
Any gotten past this hang up? I've got the same problem. I just built a barebones PC out of this: http://shop3.frys.com/product/5699541;jses...CH:MAIN_RSLT_PG and I'm getting the same problem: "MAC framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers" anyone made any progress? (this is using the latest release, iDeneb 10.5.5) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88778-installation-woes-using-any-leopard-hackintosh-cd/#findComment-968305 Share on other sites
PeterHaas
As far as equipment goes I have 2GB of ddr2 ram sata DVDRW/SATA 160 GB HD..7300 videocard! The HD has never been used...I wondered if it needed to be formatted first ect...but I don't think thats it! The (MSI) Wind Kit works for the MSI Saturn. An MSI Saturn can be done without the Wind Kit, using, say, the P35 Kit, but it won't give you ALC888 sound. The Wind Kit will give you ALC888 sound from your Saturn. I have a Celeron 430 in my MSI Saturn, at present, but I think an E1200 or an E2200 is a better choice. The MSI Saturn is a good value for a barebone. The build quality of MSI has been quite good. Oh, I'm using 945 video in my MSI Saturn, and, obviously, 945 video in my MSI Wind. I use 7200GS video in all my other Hacks.
