  1. Check out m1micro.com, they got some cool stuff, they have limited stuff but it looks like there gonna be a good place to find sylish htpc equipment.
  2. Cpus=1 and alc888

People are not being helpful because your are not listing your specs! The type of motherboard you have would be a start.
  3. Will you tell us how you got it working? Will you post the linux dump? That will be very helpful for me and others.
  4. This is probably why apple is giving a 60 day free trial, because it may take 60 days to get it working correctly.
  5. [For Sale] PCI Sound Card CMI8738

But does mic and line in work?
  6. I figured it out, the way I did it was install Tiger on 1 hard drive unplug it install Leo on the other then plug the hd with Tiger back up and hit F11 (yours may be different) then select the drive that I want to start.
  7. Hello, Do this, go to Advanced BIOS Features and make sure you have IOAPTC enabled, in CPU Features make sure Execute Disable Bit is enabled and Max CPUID Value is disabled. Go to Integrated Peripherals/On-Chip ATA devices and make sure On-chip IDE Controller is Enabled/PCI Bus Master is disabled and On-chip SATA Controller is set to IDE. Under Power Management make sure ACPI Function is enabled (THIS IS A MUST), and make sure Standby is set to S3. These are my settings and it works great this way and I hope this info helps you.
  8. I have the exact same question about the dual boot with Tiger and Leo on 2 different HD's, any suggestions?
  9. Hi, I can't go into details right now because I'm kinda tied up at the moment so I'll get back with you sometime tonight. But for starters I used the iAtkos Leo install and I was able to upgrade to 10.5.2 with no problems. Double check your settings in bios and make your you have something like bit execution enabled or something like that and make sure power saving in enabled. I just can't remember what's shown in bios word for word but I'll try to let you know tonight.
  10. Anyone have any luck installing 10.5.2

I followed the original guide http://netkas.org I didn't put back the AppleACPIPlatform.kext that I backed up, so far no problems and remember to back up your AppleSMBIOS.kext and you IO811.kext if you have wireless. February 11, 2008 How to update to 10.5.2 February 11th 2008 Posted to Apple, Leopard, pc efi UPDATE: doesn;’t work with software update, need to have dmg/pkg. http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/mac...omboupdate.html Open Terminal/Finder/etc, go to System/Library/Extensions. start installing update. Monitor System/Library/Extensions folder, once AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement.kext appears there - remove it immideatly. u can use this little script for it, run as root, before starting upgrade while sleep 1 ; do rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext ; done once update finished, press ctrl-c in terminal window, to stop script, don’t press restart ! after it, open this file in textedit - /System/InstallAtStartup/scripts/1 find there string /System/Library/Extensions/Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext and replace with this string /System/Library/Extensions/dsmos.kext or r3d3 if u use r3d3. then save it. now u can recover ur applesmbios/applehda/etc (didn;’t u forget to make backups b4 running update ?) and finaly press restart. on first start it will do smth, without booting to gui, then it will reboot, it can take about 3-4 mins, then it shuld boot normaly, if u didn;t forget smth. of course it’s all for intel core 2 based cpus and intel mobos. and pc_efi.
  11. [How to] Install 10.5.2 Update [TUTORIAL]

Do you think it will make a difference with my Nvidia 7300 GS if I install the graphics update or should I wait until I get a better card? Also did you update through Apple's software update download or from a separate installer like the 10.5.2 update?
  12. Anyone have any luck installing 10.5.2

My update went swell with the Netkas guide, but I'm scared to do the video update. I'm running Iaktos Leo on a MSI 945GCM5-F Motherboard w/1GB ram and a Nivdia 7300 GS PCI-e Video Card.
