fcastro
Hi all, Well I have downloaded iATKOS_v1.0ir2 its about 2.5gigs or so. My question is did I burn the image correctly? This is what I did: 1.Opened up Nero 2.Opened the iso in Nero 3.Burned at a slow speed. I can't tell if the image was a success because when I insert it into the dvd withing windows explorer craps out. I also installed Macdrive to see if that would help reading the dvd but it did not. Anyone else use Nero? I also have PowerIso but have not tried burning on that yet. sanriofreak
I used Nero to burn the .iso too. When I put the disk in the drive, Windows does slow down for a minute, but then the drive shows up fine with only a few files visible, not the whole 2.5+ GB. It boots correctly though. Hope that helps. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88592-iatkos_v10ir2iso-how-to-burn-this-iso-correctly/#findComment-632464 Share on other sites
SHANIA69
I know in PowerIso when you select the iso (KALYWAY or iATKOS) it shows everything (all files)...and you can burn as slow as 4x... Just finnished downloading .iATKOS_v1.0ir2.iso... I'll try burning it now and report back...I only have an IDE burner so when I go to install it ,if I get the ....boot.plist not found I can assume it's working.. Going to get a SATA optical drive tommorow.... ~pcwiz
What you do: 1) Open Nero Express 2) Choose the Image option and burn the ISO to DVD-R at slow speeds as you mentioned 3) Boot from the DVD and don't worry if explorer crashes when you put in the DVD, although that doesn't happen to me, what usually happens is if you insert the DVD in Windows, then it only shows you a few of the critical boot files and nothing else Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88592-iatkos_v10ir2iso-how-to-burn-this-iso-correctly/#findComment-635215 Share on other sites

megatran808
I used Roxio Toast on my other mac and it burned fine. Just gotta make sure you mount the iso in roxio or it will just burn the ISO data file. Han Dol Kim
i would like to install mac os x on windows os using vmware workstation 6 my computer is intel® Celeron® CPU 2.40 GHZ 2.39GHz, 504MB RAM i have vmware workstation 6 i have iATKOS_v1.0ir2 iso as boot cd i have tried emulating the image and burning the image using nero however when i boot it says Your virtual machine has sent an ATAPI (CD-ROM) command that is supported only when programming the drive via DMA. You will need to configure your guest operating system to use DMA when communicating with DVD/CD-ROM devices. Note that some operating systems will report DMA is available without actually using it. In those cases, normal CD-ROM operations will still be available, but special features will only be available if you reconfigure the virtual device as a SCSI device. i wish i could fix this problem and if i just ignore this later on it comes up with like a message System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found or sometimes it tells me to reboot and if i do it just does it over again i never got into a dialog to choose thepackage language and stuff like that kind regards thanx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88592-iatkos_v10ir2iso-how-to-burn-this-iso-correctly/#findComment-967346 Share on other sites
