theproto
How are others getting EFI loading off the DVD itself? I seem to be unable to achive this. I have already created installation files and packages but need a hand on getting it bootable. Dr. Hurt
Copy the DVD to a small partition on your HD, and write the bootloader to it, then write the partition to a DVD. Also make sure that you create a package with a script to install the the boot loader to the target partition or else it will become unbootable. I have now tried this but I cannot get it to boot like any other disc. I used diskutil to copy the retail install dvd to disk, modified a few things and wrote the efi bootloader as I have done many time to HD, made sure it was bootable on HD, made image and burned to DVD. It doesn't even see the DVD as a valid boot device.
