nemof
I installed the kaly combo update from the bay, on a fresh 10.5.1 install and the update seems to have worked. However, it now takes several minutes to boot the machine rather than 10-20 seconds it took to boot 10.5.1. Does anyone have any info on this? I haven't installed the Graphics update yet. Should I install it from the software update? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88195-1052-slow-boot-fixed/ Share on other sites

xghost
Have you installed the new kernels? If not try it out. Because running 10.5.2 with the old 9.1.0 kernel delays the boot for a unknown reason. tonymacx86
For SSE2 users, use the new Universal Kernel on netkas.org after updating with Kalyway's Combo update, then replace the system.kext with the one in the Kalyway backup folder (9.2). No 3-4 minute wait to boot. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/88195-1052-slow-boot-fixed/#findComment-629155 Share on other sites
