  1. I can confirm that Macfuse+NTFS-3G works after a fresh install of 10.5.2. You should try byusinger84's advice, it sounds like a good place to start.

    EQ plugins for iTunes

Having been a windows user for a long time and now trying to make the switch I find my listening experience has been lessened as there is no verion of Izotope Ozone available for the Mac. Ozone is basically an an EQ, but an incredibly good one. Check it out here: http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/media/ozone.html Is there a decent equievelant for itunes, as the itunes EQ just doesn't cut the mustard!

    10.5.2, slow boot [FIXED]

that's cool, thanks for the info, i'll try now! ** edit; Works perfectly thanks.
  4. I installed the kaly combo update from the bay, on a fresh 10.5.1 install and the update seems to have worked. However, it now takes several minutes to boot the machine rather than 10-20 seconds it took to boot 10.5.1. Does anyone have any info on this? I haven't installed the Graphics update yet. Should I install it from the software update?

    10.5.2

If I bricked the hard drive by trying to install from software update (and I have no backup) I essentially have to install from scratch again? There is no way to fix it I assume?

    P5K Wireless, realtek chipset

I've basically discovered that there is no wireless support for the P5K in 10.5.1. We are waiting on new drivers from realtek for leopard, the last version they released was for 10.4.
  7. Is it possible to specify a piece of cover art for radio streams. I have a playlist with all my Radio stations on it and would like to be able to add customer covers for each of them. How can I do this?
  8. Anyone have an idea why I'm having problems installing XP under Parallels or Fusion. It gets to the end of the installation and is on the final leg and suddenly the computer entirely freezes and I get a message in Mac OS X saying I will need to reboot.
  9. Just wondering what peoples experience of wireless is for 10.5? I have an Asus P5K board that runs OS X wonderfully, but the realtek drivers don't work with 10.5. Is there a cheap alternative wireless card that works well that anyone could recommend?

    Realtek RTL8187(L)

I can add that I have the same problem as everyone else - connects for a few seconds then disconnects again. Bring on Feb if they are going to release drivers for 10.5!

    P5K Wireless, realtek chipset

I'll bump this once just incase. I'd appreciate any replies from people who have working wireless on their Asus P5K motherboards - from what I have seen and read I am guessing it is impossible?
  12. If this has been covered sufficiently elsewhere then please just point me to the best explanation, but nothing I have read yet seems conclusive. I have Kalyway 10.5.1 successfully installed for the first time today about an hour ago. Unfortunately no wireless yet. the P5K runs the Realtek RTL8187 chipset. I tried using the drivers that came on the Kalyway disc to no avail. I have downloaded the drivers from the Realtek website, the 10.4 universal ones. Any other ideas? gonna burn them to a CD and reboot and try now. All help appreciated! **** having gone further now. I have managed to install the realtek drivers from the website, however they are dreadful. The best I can manage at the moment is that when Mac OS X first boots the Realtek Client comes up (and I can't type into it) and sees the wireless networks available. I have to the kill the instance of the client running as I cannot type in it; I restart the client and try to connect to one of the networks (I run two wireless routers, both recognised). It will connect, but only for a couple of seconds. After that even if I scan for networks again none will be recognised and the only solution that works is restarting the Mac. Without wireless my hackintosh is useless to me, so it's pretty annoying! Anyone had a success story with the Asus P5K wireless?
