chadam Posted February 16, 2008 Share Posted February 16, 2008 i have a hp pavillion dv6607nr (says dv6000 on screen) with an AMD athlon x2 cpu. and it wont read my hard drive i can boot up parted magic and go into gparted and read it but disk utility in the leopard installer only reads my DVD drive anyone know how to get it to see my hardrive? Leopard in disk utility will detect my dvd player but not my harddrive but will detect external hd's. PLease Help.... I also have a Pavillion and made an install guide (see below for the link). Even though it's really a Media Center PC with two separate internal hard drives, I still think our machines BIOSes might function similar enough (considering they're both from HP), so you might want to read through the guide to see what works for you. Hope this helps. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=94230 *Hint: if your ATA/SATA interface in the BIOS is set to "RAID", you'll probably need to set it to AHCI as neither the Leopard DVD (nor any Mac OS X Install disc) nor a hackintosh Hard Disk with an OS X install will work under "RAID"..... at least on my setup.
