spanakorizo Posted February 15, 2008 Share Posted February 15, 2008 set in bios to AHCI mobo is P5K premium i don't have any problems in perfomance ,the drives copy/read damn fast but is this normal that they appear like external usb drives? (without the usb logo ,just the same colour..yellow orange) should i worry or it is normal? the IDE drives (2) have the correct disk icon ,this happens only to the SATA disks (3) i had this problem long time ago in another installation but i don;'t remember what i did as i said before the perfomance is awesome and there is no problem to the system with their mistaken colour/icon no crash ..nothing yesterday i captured a 60' HDV tape anyway if i should change the appearance i would like to know Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
westwaerts Posted February 15, 2008 Share Posted February 15, 2008 i changed sata after install back to IDE and all disks are shown as internal. besides that, ALL disks are shown again ( by some strange way AHCI just gets two SATA ports) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
