ovof
Hi all, well i have e vergy good mobo, GA P35 DS3R under 10.5.2. The only problem is with networking over lan. With the default IONetworking plugin, RTL8169.kext, internet works well, but finder can't properly see other servers on lan, and its the same from the other servers. If i use finder, "connect to.."; i can connect to the shares. It was the same with 10.5.1 and 10.5.0. i Tried Realtek1000 from Daemones, great driver, but its slow to connect, doesnt have DHCP, and crash sometimes (FF:FF:FF... adress). With this driver, no issue with servers shares, instantly seen over network. Well, i want the best of each. Does any one have the solution ? The right kext working for RTL8169 ? Thanks :censored2: BTW : perhaps is because DS3R have RTL8111b, not 8169 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87778-ga-p35-ds3r-lan-issue-with-afp-file-sharing/ Share on other sites
radov4n
Not sure, but I have the very same problem with 8139d based NIC. Macs show up, but windows pcs don't. But connect-to works and once you connect to it, it shows up. Shadow_2k
I got Bonjour to work by installing the R1000 kext. (For RTL8168, RTL8111, RTL8169, RTL8101 based cards). [use OSX86tools to install the kext] Link: http://www.psystar.com/realtek_r1000_driver.htm Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87778-ga-p35-ds3r-lan-issue-with-afp-file-sharing/#findComment-892987 Share on other sites
