hi @ all -- first i have to appologize for my bad english :)

well...

i've successfully updated from kallyway leopard 10.5.1 to 10.5.2

- installed the graphics update

- reboot and black screen

- booted with -x

- installed the nvinjectgo 0.2.0 (if there is a newer version please post !!)

- reboot

- work.... but no 2nd monitor (dual monitor worked great with 10.5.1)

have anybody a workaround for this problem

(core image and quarz extreme are fully supported)

edit: removing the NVInjectGo.kext just give me my 2nd monitor back, but just with the 800x600 resolution and mirrored

thx alot... this is an amazing forum !!!! :D

edit: hui.. i've never posted here ?

jeeha .. like a virgin lol

haaa... i made it...

crapy "leopard graphics update 1.0" is shipped per default in die delta upgrade 10.3 (and 10.2 ?)

after a detailed view with pacifist of the pgk of the graphics update i recovered all necessary kexts, made the 10.5.3 combo upgrade and copyed the saved kext back to the extension folder :D

if somebody wants to know which they are:

all the GeForce*.bundle and NVDA*.kext

yeeeha...

lucky beamchn is happy about supported dual monitor with quarz extreme and core image :D

//and another sorry for my poor english :D

after some questions....

here is the way to restore the dualmonitor under 10.5.4 in detail:

- updating leo to 10.5.4 (don't forget to backup your 3rd party kexts) and after this,

- replacing the special graphics-kexts for nvidia graphics cards (i mentioned them here)

they are all the GeForce*.bundle and NVDA*.kext (the star is used as an wildcard)

(so all "GeForce2MXGLDriver", "GeForce3GLDriver" and so on)

- i have replaced them with the kexts from kexts before the "leopard graphics update 1.0" so you could find them in the leopard 10.5.2 combo updater

- use pacifist to extract the old kexts from the combo-update

- use the kexthelper to install the extracted ones

so thats it... it solved my dual-monitor problem with leopard on a geforce go 7400

oh.. don't forget to install the nvinject drver :( (the newest are these NVinjectGo.0.2.0c.zip, from january)

i hope you all can view on 2 monitors at the future :) and i'm looking forward to get your feedback

greetings from berlin
