track09
Apple has announced new update of Safari for osx, windows and iphone. It will be 2.5x faster than current 3.0.4 version. Full story ~R What is the definition of 2.5x faster? Jobbs' numbers are very arbitrary. I doubt the entire app runs 2.5x faster, probably one test did, and the others show a smaller improvement, but they advertise it as 2.5x. Synaesthesia
Specifically Javascript will execute much faster due to a native implementation. Firefox 3 does this too. 2.5 times is quite an arbitrary figure though...IMO Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87585-safari-31/#findComment-623742 Share on other sites
(MoC)
The "(number)x faster" is really starting to {censored} me off. What the hell, now they advertise an update as one of their intel macs. But whatever, it's their decision not mine. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87585-safari-31/#findComment-624464 Share on other sites
socal swimmer
Maybe you didn't notice, but the 2.5x number was from computerworld, not apple. So apple wasn't advertising this. chill out ...
