  • 2 weeks later...

the second the bolded "HOW TO UPDATE TO 10.5.2" thread is no longer active enough to be on page 1 (more likely page 2 or 3) already tons of people are asking about the update.

Please run a quick search.. or scroll down the screen more next time.

Since i am here.. there are 2 methods for updating..

1.) go to "the bay" and search for kalyway. Select the combo update to 10.5.2. Then search for Vanilla kernel, and download the package. Install the update, restart, then install the kernel package.

2.) Use netkas guide.. which consists of downloading the real combo update (not via software update) and, yes you do have to do a few terminal commands.. but it is extremely easy.

I suppose for noobs i would reccomend option 1.. but option 2 is a little faster.

Will the update work with iATKOS?

will the update work with iatkos????

Of course it will, why wouldnt it? iAtkos is just the method to install your operating system is still "leopard". The only thing.. i dont know much about iatkos.. but if there were important kexts specifically from iatkos that you need to boot safely.. than i would reccomend the kalyway combo updater.. as it does not overwrite as many system kexts.
