That's a nice iBook. Leopard won't install in it by default. The minimum system that Leopard will install on is G4/867. But with a little work, you can install it anyway. Elsewhere on the 'net, there are instructions for booting into open firmware, and spoofing the gestalt i.d. of your machine, in other words, making your mac believe that it is a different model mac than it is, in order to get Leopard to install on it. From there, I understand that Leopard will run fine on your machine. I AM NO EXPERT ON OPEN FIRMWARE, and I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS. But, it should be fine.

If I were trying this, I'd back up my drive, wipe it, and install from scratch, just to ensure that everything is up to date and Leopard-compatible.

The article on Low-End-Mac (http://www.lowendmac.com) about faking out Leopard is HERE:

http://lowendmac.com/osx/leopard/openfirmware.html

In that article, there is mention of a program which you can run to fake-out Leopard for you, so that you don't have to go through the whole routine with the open firmware. The program freeware. It is called LeopardAssist. You can find LeopardAssist HERE:

hey if i knew the answer i would tell you, but there have been so many threads related to installing leopard on a 800mhz machine, just look around a little. i would back up your machine though, ive heard some have had problems with hacked leopard installs.
