I'm pretty new to the site and have been looking mostly at the Bad Axe 2 setup, but I stumbled across this deal online and haven't been able to find any info on this motherboard in the forums. Would this be a good start for my first Hackintosh?

Well Q6600 is a great CPU but idk about the Mobo. i saw a similar deal awhile back but 680i isnt the most compatible.

go with the bad Axe 2. and i am really surprised you couldnt find any info on the BA2!! but here is a little help on how to get it going and a good setup.

hope this helps!!!

BA2 is very stable!

Well what about the GA P35-DS3P? I wrote a full install guide and it has been working well for me. its cheap too....

the guide is in my sig. its much better for overclocking, and cheaper, than the Bad Axe 2.
