Hello!

I posted this in another thread, but I thought maybe more people would read it if I posted it as a topic too. Don't hate me for posting twice. :-)

I have been trying to get this to install for about a week now, doing lots and lots of research through the forums, and I'm somewhat stuck. Hopefully someone can point me in a better direction or help me out a bit...

First of all, this is the hardware rundown:

cpu: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

mobo: Intel DG965WH

memory: 2gb ddr2

hdd: SATA 320gb (empty, brand new), IDE 200gb (just has my music, apps, and such)

drive: SATA DVD-RW

video: onboard x3100

sound: onboard, presonus firepod

I originally was using an IDE dvd drive, but I'm not an idiot and I know that the install wont happen on the jmicron controller... so I upgraded to the sata dvd drive (was having problems with the old one anyway). However, even with the sata dvd drive, I still can't get to the installer. It's sad, I know.

Basically, this is what happens when booting with -v (wish I could take a screenshot or take a picture):

...all seems fine until:

Extension "com.apple.driver.ApplePCIConfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style.

mbinit: done

Security auditing service present

BSM auditing present

and bam... nothing more. Just sits there.

Here is what I've tried:

-Changed every possible BIOS setting: (drive options: RAID, AHCI, IDE, disabled CPU limit, enabled XD or whatever it is called, and anything else I saw on the forums that existed in my bios)

-All these boot flags: -v -x -s cpus:1 vanilla

Not really sure what else to do because I can't seem to get very and search that dependencies message didn't really turn up much. A few people stated a similar message, but no solutions or things to try were stated.

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions! I'd love to get somewhere with this. Thanks in advance.

Well as per your Config u do not have a Graphic Card. I know u have OnBoard Graphic card but that wont help. U need to use a Graphic card in PCI slot no matter if its older version, Low end anything.

Just Plugin a Graphic Card in their and then u'll c how smooth installation goes... Trust me i had this issue n only solution for this is switch to a graphic card. Use any of ur friends if u dnt want to buy one until u believe this is solution for ur problem...

Good Luck... :D
