Redliner
Well I know this is probably already know but I though it was cool to see this for myself: System BIOS • 8 Mb Flash EEPROM with Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for EFI Plug and Play, IDE drive auto-configure • Advanced configuration and power interface V1.0b, DMI 2.0, multilingual support See for yourself!!! stellarola
The G31 chipset seems to be the successor to 945G based mobos. Increase in memory and also allows quad cores to be used. I would spend the extra dough and get a P35 board. However, if someone is looking for a quadcore capable micro-atx these might be for you. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....;name=Intel+G31 -Stell Well I know this is probably already know but I though it was cool to see this for myself: System BIOS • 8 Mb Flash EEPROM with Intel® Platform Innovation Framework for EFI Plug and Play, IDE drive auto-configure • Advanced configuration and power interface V1.0b, DMI 2.0, multilingual support See for yourself!!! Redliner
I only noticed the folowing variences: LAN chipsets: Realtek 8111-GR or Realtek 8111B or Realtek 8101E Audio varience: Realtek ALC662 or Realtek ALC888 The DG31PR seems like the best bet to me. question remains: Can I use EFI 8.0 and retail OSX Leopard? also which processor: E8400 or Q6600? *EDIT* BTW- Thanks for the quick reply. Redliner
hmm. do I have to use anything else? I mean simply install EFI 8.0...then pop in the Retail Leopard disk? My current planned setup is based off all 100% native support. the only challenge left is to find: a native supported Graphics card, Bluetooth, and Wi-fi. I've got everything else covered!!! (well I hope I do...) I'll post my planned hardware setup tomorrow. thanks again. My current planned setup is based off all 100% native support. I don´t know what you put in just pop in... But you have to install the efi emulator somewhere first. As you can´t add it to the retail disk it mean you have to copy that disk over first.
