My build:

E2160

g9.2tt for sound input and output

Leo 1.51

My problem:

I can't boot or shut down. I get an HFS+ Partition error whenever I boot, and I have tried virtually everything to fix the issue. My BIOS is set at stock, so possibly it's a problem with that? Whenever I try to shut down, my cursor goes away and I just get a picture of my desktop.

Otherwise, I'm having no overly bad errors, but these two are making the computer impossible to use; thanks in advance for your help.

Also, my Hawking HWUG1A which I recently paid a fair sum for is not working properly; it recognises networks, and can even connect to them, but I cannot go online. The device does not show up under networking, and I'm guessing I need airport drivers (in addition to the Hawking drivers) but I cannot find them anywhere.

Any help?

I've already done everything with rdisk thought possible by humans, and I've even installed XP just so I could use the HFS+ Partition error fixer packed with easyBCD. I'm not going to believe this is unfixable, and I really need this to be up and running soon.

Also, I recently bought a hawking wifi card that my hackintosh isn't even recognising, even after I installed the mac drivers. It says "for macintosh" right on the damn box, and it won't show up in networking.

not sure what you used for installation -guid or mbr. But anyways, I had that error in the past, just perform the relevant step - in case of guid, just install the efi-V8 again (boot to DVD, use USB for EFI and unmount all your disk partition (its very important)). in case of mbr, follow those fdisk and resetting boot disk (check Brazilmac install site for the steps). In my case, all those case of HFS+ error or boot0 error would go away and i would be back to seeing my partitions and boot disks.

as far as shut down, this is a never ending problem. For me sometimes it works but sometimes it does not. It may help for you, if u r using 10.5.1 to use brazilmac postpatch to replace AppleSMBIOS, AppleAHCIplatform, AppleACPI and dmsos. I have seen many times that fixes it. Or just try different kernels like stock or TOH or kaliway modded, etc to see what works best.

in anycase, i suggest that like me have two partitions at the least. use disk utility to copy your boot partition to the other (through restore item). and then play with the other or just reinstall on one to test for the other.
