Aggg45 Posted February 4, 2008 Share Posted February 4, 2008 just wondering if your battery is lasting longer/quicker in mac osx as I've seen a 20min drop from 1hr30min to about 1hr10min in leopard (1hr30 vista) so how long does your battery last until it dies ? windom Posted February 6, 2008 Share Posted February 6, 2008 I am using a Compaq Presario CN571R. My battery seems to go a lot quicker using OSX versus Ubuntu. F8 vanilla cpus=1 shades.app for screen dimming, get 20min back +bios battery saver the other thing is , fan control, no decent powermanagment, and no fan control, does not make for a nice notebook os,... If you need it so bad, you should learn to code and fix it yourself. mschilling Posted February 8, 2008 Share Posted February 8, 2008 Seems like my battery indicator is working perfect showing about 2hours with this 17" Gateway (not sure Vista, but I read that this is right for a new battery in this laptop). At exactly 1% showing the laptop died so it reads very accurately. Fans run normally I think too.
