Macisgr3at
I just wanted to give my thanks to everyone on the board that has helped me get my OSX86 Machine up and running (dell xps410)... I really hope to be as good as the rest of everyone here so i can help future members though their issues... To keep this technical and drivers related i bought a Hiro 10/100 Ethernet card for 7 dollars at tiger direct today, i drove over and started popping the boxes open searching for a supported unit and this one not only fit the budget but works great under Vista and OSX, Vista didnt need any drivers for it, it just worked! To get it to work on osx i downloaded a .kext for a Realtek 8139 The NIC is 7 dollars if you go to the store in Miami, they are refurbished in white boxes.. or 15 online NIC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/85639-giving-thanks-and-realtek-8139-works-like-a-dream/ Share on other sites
radov4n
Yeah its a great card for OS X. I use one myself, since I couldn't get my onboard NIC working. Any version of 8139 chip should work fine.
