hello everbody. great forum. helped me so much, i am running kalyway leoprad now on my sony vaio vgn-s480p, everything is almost perfect except for a few bugs. :)

however, i don't understand why any time i try to play a video file . avi,.wmv, or what so ever type, the player (VLC or Quicktime) crashes or freezes.while Windows media player plays the video but at a very slow playback then crashes. if anyone has a clue about this please let me know.

this applies to iCal

audio playback is rather perfect.

any hint is appreciated. :)

i don't think so. actually i have no clue what is QE/CI. i will google/search about it. if you can assist me with it i will be grateful.

if it makes any difference to the issue, the laptop uses Mobile Intel® 915GM/910GMS,910GML Express Graphics . the system profiler says it's GMA 900 ! Vram 64MB?! while it should be 128MB. no vga also?!

I have the same issue too, and I have no idea of how to fix it. Anyway, you should first enable QE/CI on your hackintosh first, to see if it can help. Try to look at the genius bar on this forum, in "video problems".

If you can play video files after enabling QE/CI, please let me know, thanks first.

QE/CI = Quartz Extreme, Core Image, please use google for more details.
