osxpc
Well, I had osx (10.4.3 with the Jas patch) up and running for about a day.(quite well I might add) and then the on-board USB decided to fail the smoke test. All of the devices work fine, but the motherboard has seen better days, and some data was corruped on the hard drive. I wasn't happy with the existing mobo to begin with (Asus A8V) I was wondering what socket 939 boards work well with 10.4.3. Thanks in advance. firebush05
I've got a Soltek SL-k890 pro 939 mobo. It works great. Only problem I have is with sound.. it only comes out of a single channel, although i don't know if thats mobo related. wesley
Biostar TForce 6100-939 here. All onboard features except SATA and LAN are recognized and usable, as expected. No quirks. Using Athlon64 X2 3800+ @ 2.4GHz, and one core deactivated to avoid stuttering. osxpc
USB2.0 was working on mine. when it died, no longer sees the controller/root hub, and is also showing me a lot of stop errors as well Between that and the lost data on the hard drive, I'm pretty sure it was just a hardware failure. Thanks for the many replies! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/8515-motherboard-socket-939/#findComment-52982 Share on other sites
