Crazy About Mac Posted January 31, 2008 Share Posted January 31, 2008 I have a JAS MAC OSX 10.4.8 x86 dvd. Its just working fine when I installed OS X using VmWare. I have : 2 HDDS : Westrn Digital SATA (160 GB) & SEGATE IDE (80 GB) ASUS DVD DRIVE INTEL CORE 2 DUO Processor & Intel DG965RY Motherboard My XP is Installed on the sata drive I made 2 partion on IDE HDD as 20 GB FAT32 [PRIMARY ACTIVE] for MAC OS X 60 GB FAT32 for Shared Documents Whenever I try 2 install MAC OS X Darwin boot loader loads but get stuck on a line :censored2: ACPI: System State (s0, s3, s4, s5) (s3) I tried installing OSX Removing the SATA hard disk so that I can get a fresh install. But I get stuck on this same line.... CANT SEE ANY APPLE SCREEN OR BLUE SCREEN OR INSTALLER WINDOW ???? PLS HELP MEOUT GUYS..... happycar Posted February 1, 2008 Share Posted February 1, 2008 Perhaps its something in the BIOS? A setting or a switch that needs to be activated or deactivated. happycar Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Thanks for posting them so quickly.Please try enabling HPET (High Precision Event Timer) under ** Memory Config. in Chipset Configand see what happens.Mind you, if you can boot to the OS DVD Installer, there might be an option that is getting selected wrong in the setup process.Time will tell! try this first and let us know what you end up with. Crazy About Mac Posted February 4, 2008 Author Share Posted February 4, 2008 I tried enabling HPET (High Precision Event Timer) its the same story again, I got the stuck at the same line ACPI: System State (s0, s3, s4, s5) (s3) This time I have a screenshot of the error which is taking place during the installtion.... I m facing the same problem.... however i am using the 2.4 core 2 quad, intel D35 chipset, 4GB ram... currently running windows vista ultimate.... trying to install OSX(10.4.8) from last 2 mnths.... tried all the possible things with my BIOS.... didnt wrk....
