migasa
Well after it seems, PLENTY of errors and problems. b0 errors, HSF errors, kernel panics, and about 5 installations later, i have finally got an OS that appears to be trying to boot up. It passes the darwin stages and gets to the white screen with the lightly shaded grey apple and a small spinning gear under it fairly quickly. Problem is it doesnt leave this stage. It's now been probably 1 1/2 hours and its still going. Appears to be trying to boot up. I've though of giving up and continuing with my vista install plenty of times, but now that I am soooo close, i cant do that. Also since my system has no problem dual booting (2 seperate harddisks), there's no hurt in leaving the install on my second drive. Now please if any one of you can help me, i would greatly appreciate it. My specs: Asus P5K-C motherboard Intel e4600 @ 2.4ghz 3GBs of corsair ram Nvidia 8800GTS G92 512MB Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/84278-help-needed-bootup-woes/ Share on other sites

Bryon
The first thing would be to boot with the -v flag and see were OSX is stopping at. When you boot to OSX press the enter key when the count down start then type -v OSX will show what it is doing instead of the background.
