Inepsa Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 I am using Kalyway 10.5.1 install. I installed just fine and booted in with no problems. I have had it installed for a couple of days now. One morning I went to boot it up, and it just hangs at the apple screen with the gear rotating. I am using a Gigabyte P35 - DS3L board. I have a core 2 duo. Any Ideas would be welcomed. Inepsa Posted January 28, 2008 Author Share Posted January 28, 2008 The only thing that I have installed is my sound drivers. I don't know how to boot into verbose mode. TheTimster Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 are you running vanilla? if you are, install pc-efi v8 and use that to boot your leo partition. then once you get that bootloader in, you'll be able to hit f8 and type in -v at the darwin prompt to find out whats going wrong. Deviant0ne Posted January 28, 2008 Share Posted January 28, 2008 Good luck. I don't think either of those options will happen in quite some time. To boot in verbose mode hit F8 when your DVD starts to boot, and you'll then be asked what boot flags you'd like to boot with. At that point type -v and report back here what the screen says.
