cyrix Posted January 26, 2008 Share Posted January 26, 2008 guys i tried installing both 10.4.8 and 10.5.0 but failed .. i never get the installation GUI ... it keeps calulating stuff then hangs down !! my laptop configuration based on Everest report: Laptop : Lenovo 3000 N200 BJG CPU Type: Mobile DualCore Intel Celeron M, 1466 MHz (11 x 133) Instruction Set: x86, x86-64, MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3 Motherboard Chipset: Intel Crestline GL960/GM965 System Memory: 2038 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM) Video Adapter: Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family (128 MB) Audio Adapter: Realtek ALC862 @ Intel 82801HBM ICH8M - High Definition Audio Controller Disk Drive: WDC WD1200BEVS-08RST2 (111 GB, IDE) Optical Drive: MAT{censored}A DVD-RAM UJ-850 z Ethernet Adapter: Broadcom NetLink Fast Ethernet Wireless Adapter: Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection which mac suits me guys ? feyeleanor Posted March 7, 2008 Share Posted March 7, 2008 Use Kalyway 10.5.1 but don't select the vanilla kernel options. The install should then go fine, although you'll be left with non-functioning sound (search the forums here).
