Jakevfr Posted January 24, 2008 Share Posted January 24, 2008 I have finally gotten Mac OS X 10.4.8 on my laptop, but I am unable to get sound working on my system. I have followed all the tutorials, and done everything I have read to do, but the sound is still not working. My system is: SoundMAX Digital Audio Dev ID: 24C5 Ven ID: 8086 This is really frustrating me, as the only reason I'm wanting to use the Mac OS is because of some sound software I'm wanting to try out :/ Any and all help is greatly appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
dparada78 Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 I have the same device id on my gateway 3550gz. i bought a USB 2.0 TO 3D AUDIO SOUND CARD ADAPTER VIRTUAL 5.1 on ebay for a few bucks and this worked but the sound is not that good....lots of artifacts...
