xLitsx Posted January 22, 2008 Share Posted January 22, 2008 I am running slave EIDE 160 WD HDD and a 10k RPM WD Raptor for my hard drives... Geforce 7950 GT 512MB Evga nforce 680i with quad 6600 My problem is every time I boot kalway right after I select the language and it goes to processing it freezes. I tried disabling everything... Firewire serial sound ps2 I unplugged everything but video and mouse and keyboard. I tried DVI and VGA to see if that was the problem. Therefor no leopard for me... on tiger I get as far as to the end right before it restarts it says MACH Restart or something... it jst hangs and never finishes it. Also I try a different method and I can't get the install cd to recognize my flash drive its fat32... disk utility recognizes it just not terminal were i need it. Simonia Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Since you have a quad core, try booting with "-v cpus=1" without the quotes. Also try enabling "Execute Disable Bit" in the BIOS. I have the same motherboard as you and it worked for me. Only difference is that I'm using iATKOS v1.0ir2 to install Leopard. Simonia Posted January 23, 2008 Share Posted January 23, 2008 Yeah it does. Under bootloaders, I installed Darwin EFI bootloader and Apple ACPI Platform. It seems the stock kernal was giving me reboot issues after install.
