ahoi together,

can somebody tell me how i should use this in my laptop?

i´ve read here about the insatllation of os x on a toshiba laptop like mine.

but for me it´s not clear for what and which kind of hardware this should be.

what i know, is, that i can´t get into the installation process because of the message

" waiting for root device " and with this kind of adapter it should go through.

can somebody help me? would be great !!

thank you & many greetz....

I'd suggest you get Kalyway OS X 10.5.1 on DVD and install to the whole hard drive using MBR choice in disk utility.

You should be good with your cpu cause there's SSE3.

The ATI graphics is probably in the supported options list.

Nvidia is preferred but I know that Intel graphics works so......

There's a whole lotta choices.

You don't need an 3.5 to 2.5 IDE adaptor for anything.

@ dscarty...

well, my toshiba laptop has a centrino m 1.5ghz sse2 processor.

(my question is not regarding my rig in my signature)

i think it really depends on the connections to the dvd drive or harddrive.

i can´t install trough vmware even with the paevm=true method.

because the centrino has no paevm support :-(

so i´ve really only one chance to get os x on my laptop.

and the magical chance is this adaptor ( it seems to be ).

if i google this kind of adapter, i get tons of different adapters.

to find the right one, i need to know the reason for this adaptor.

what now?

I see now what's being attempted.

You'd like to hook the laptop drive up to a desktop computer.

So the adapter you need attaches a 2.5" laptop drive to a 3.5" ribbon cable inside a desktop computer.

An adapter like this:

should do the job for you.

Best Wishes
