Killamangiro
I have £700 and a bit to spend and was wondering what everyone thought would be a better purchase? A Brand new Entry Level Macbook straight from the Apple Store or a duel 2.0 ghz Powermac G5 with 4Gb of ram and a 500Gb hard drive from Ebay. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Ongeloof
Since PPC is already out, go with the macbook. it may be smaller but i will last a year longer... Deviant0ne
Go with the MacBook. You will be disappointed with the G5. I bought a MDD G4 (which I realize is slower) used it for about a week then put it up for sale. You won't be sorry with the MacBook. SpeedfreaK
don't buy the g5, it's old and less supported by. buy a macbook. it's your choice if you want a used one or a brand new. i would go for the brand new, but if you trust the vendor, you can go for the better used one.
