rob356
MacFixit has confirmined that the Macbook air's Remote Disk dosen't even need the OS to operate. They found that it can use Wireless Remote Disk to Boot. This is accomplished by Major modification to the EFI Firmware, and on the software a netboot server. This is cool stuff, it means that if you wan't to upgrade, or boot to the install disk it does not require the superdrive. Kudos to Apple for bothering to include this, and not forcing you to buy the drive. But your right, how else would it, other than buying the Super Drive.
