microphone Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Leopard 10.5.1 iAtkos1.0ir2 using Darwin OSX86 Bootloader - MBR Partition Scheme Here are the drivers for D945GCL Lan AppleIntel8255x.zip Audio AppleHDA.kext.zip Both of these are ready to go for this Model of MOBO, i have added this because i have succeeded (by using other proples drivers) to get this working and its to save people having to go digging like i had to. After the successful install, extract these files. Copy AppleHDA.kext to /System/Library/Extensions and replace whats already there Copy AppleIntel8255x.kext to /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins/ and replace whats already there *right clicking on a IONetworkingFamily.kext and selecting "Show Package Contents" will let you into the .kext to replace AppleIntel8255x.kext Delete /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext <----very important or audio wont work Repair permissions Delete /System/Library/Extensions.mkext Reboot From memory i think i had to reboot twice, the first time i had a kernel panic but all is functioning as it should now Enjoy your Sound'n'Surf PS these drivers will also work with tiger Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/82798-d945gcl-audio-and-on-board-lan/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
suri2001 Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 If you want to use efi 8 with these intel boards it is the same solution as for the bad axe. first install efi v8 then install system, but it wont boot, so make it active, still no boot loader, hence v7 guid only and then apply v8 AGAIn, voila! UnaClocker Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Use kexthelper to install kexts, makes it butt simple. It handles the permissions and the kext cache.. Just a note.. The D945GCLF2 has a different lan chip than the D945GCLF does. The lan on the 2 version is supported right out of the box with iATKOS 5i (and really, sound is supported out of the box with every version of iATKOS).
