I read this interesting article on Wired the other day, and thought you guys may find it interesting.

It's lengthy, but very engaging and enveloping, so you are sucked in and it doesn't seem long.

It's about these two scientist developers of Artificial Intelligence. They were rivals, and worked on similar projects. As the title indicates, they both committed suicide, strangely.

Text-to-Speech is awesome on a hackintosh, no more crappy microsoft sam!

I "read" the whole article, pretty interesting. It reminded me a lot of this one X-Files episode where these 2 people committed suicide and uploaded their conscience into the internet...

While reading this article I was thinking of all the similarities between mindpixel and wikipedia. What if wikipedia is a government operation for their own secret AI brain? If you think about it, it pretty much knows everything about this universe, what's in it, and every single idea ever created.

Kind of sad story... I wonder why they both committed suicide, was it really suicide or homicide? Conspiracy?

Maybe, they completed their goal, and they are still living today? Maybe, they committed suicide because they saw the future with this line of work and couldn't handle it?

When computers become as smart/smarter than humans, is a day I don't want to live.
