sciencefictionado
have got the exact same error, running a 880gtx Me too. I have an eVGA 8800GT. I am also loosing work, and it only occurs when I'm working with lots of texture data... either in the OS or in a 3D program. I would roll back to the 10.5.1 drivers, but the 8800gt only works with the 10.5.2 update.

runkelstrunkel
Hello Guys, i think ive the same problem as u all, sometimes my desktop is freezing for a while and i get this error in my system.log NVChannel(GL): Graphics channel exception! status = 0xffff info32 = 0xd = GR: SW Notify Error... I already read on Apple Forums that people with original Apple Hardware have the same Problem with their Nvidia Graphics Cards, i just wonder if mine is an Nvidia too but its an stock PC Graphics Card and no special Mac Edition...I read that some people with an original Macintosh get this problem solved with an Hardware exchange... so i wonder if that could seriously an hardware failure...(hope not) anyways, this problem is really annoying u all and me too and i would like to see if some smart guys could fix this for us... waltz
I guess I'll chime in. I've got an XFX 128MB 7300LE in my machine and get this error any time I try to play Quake II or watch Flash videos in full-screen. I'm hoping for a fix soon, this is really bugging me. Callie1981
I was having the same problem myself. My card is an Nvdia geforce 6600LE. Screen locks a plenty. Also using Nvinject drivers. Ripped em out and replaced them with the natit.kext and this seems to have resolved the issue. Its only been running for an hour or so but my logs are free from any errors so far, so fingers crossed. Hopefully this has fixed it and will be of some help to you guys Peace! oh and for anyone not sure I installed it like so, removed NVinject.kext from System/Library/Extensions/ downloaded the natit.kext from here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showforum=129 and installed it using the kext helper from here http://cheetha.net/ then just rebooted and voila, hopefully fixed for you guys too good luck!
