smack247
Hi This forum has been instrumental to me getting Mac OSX on my Laptop, currently I have Leopard 10.5 installed, and pretty much everything works fine. I have 2 things that i am hoping somebody can help with, firstly in "about this mac" it claims that i have a "Core 2 Solo" processor when i have a duo. Does this mean that it is only using one core? is there a way to enable Leopard to see the 2nd core? Secondly, can i use the software update in system preferences to update to 10.5.1 etc. or will that ruin my lovely hackintosh. If so is there a different way to upgrade? Thanks for all your help Simon
wigworm
To see how many cores you are actually running, just run the activity monitor in utility. You can update directly to 10.5.1 if you installed with EFI. Otherwise, you may run into all sorts of problems.
Korrupted
If you have PC_EFI installed, then chances are you're safe to upgrade to 10.5.1. If you don't have it, then it'll hose your install.
