fintan6
Running Kalyway 10.5.1 on a Gigabyte GA 965P S3. Unfortunately the fans are running at turbo speeds constantly. Temps aren't a problem, about 45C in both cores. Does anyone have a solution to allow the fans slow down occasionally? By the way, I've already tried removing AppleCPUThermo.kext and it didn't do anything. Thanks.

gizmoarena
So, RAM isn't the problem. Is your graphics card fully supported? [QE/CI supported?]
idividebyzero
you also need to delete AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext are you sure its not the video card fan?

fintan6
I'm not sure which driver I chose on the install. Either way, how would I go about changing it? Thanks.
fintan6
I'm using NVinject. Can someone tell me how I could switch it out to Natit to see if it fixes the fan problem. Thanks.

Core24All
Do as i did, switch to a fanless 8xxx, or even a 7xxx series card and smile. I´m using a fanless 8600GT card and finally back to how it was with Tiger. The noise level i had before was really unacceptable and extremely annoying too. Now it´s all fine, and graphics are even better. I think that running a fanless card is your only chance really. The 7900 card also revs up in Vista, so the best to just get rid of it, and go with a fanless one.
