good day to you

i have this motherboard - gigabyte P35C-DS3R

GA-P35C-DS3R Intel P35 Chipset

  • Install method: Leopard flat image + EFI 5.2
  • Audio works with alc889a kexts (front and back)
  • LAN working out of the box
  • Both SATA and IDE working out of the box

EFI 5.2 working Audio needs patch i want to know what DVD should i use to install the leopard beacuse i saw that everyone said that the best is the Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD but here i see that i need to use the leopard flat image - what is this flat image? and what is the EFI 5.2?

it will be great if someone will help me

Hi,

 

I think you should be able to use any of the install methods/distro's (flat image probably refers to the Brasil method, which is a bit more involved).

 

EFI is a bootloader option that you can select during the install phase. It is supported on your board and makes your system closer to the original (i.e. probably allows Apple s/w updates and runs the Vanilla kernel)
