antaholics
Turns out this was a printer driver problem - Lexmark's Tiger drivers crashed Leopard apps. mods/admin please delete this thread! Thanks, Ant Hi, I recently installed Leopard on my Asus F3SV laptop (see sig for specs) and I have a really strange and frustrating problem: When I start iMovie '08, it crashes and tells me that the program crashed and asks me if I want to ignore, relaunch, etc. Looking at the console, I get the following: 09/01/08 2:33:22 AM UserNotificationCenter[208] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35 09/01/08 2:33:35 AM iMovie[211] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. Error: 35 09/01/08 2:36:52 AM ReportCrash[223] _CFGetHostUUIDString: unable to determine UUID for host. I tried searching everywhere and didn't find anything related to this problem. For my install I used BrazilMac with replaced ACPI, APIC kexts, but some extensions wouldn't let it boot so I updated to 10.5.1, which still didn't work.. so I copied the 10.5 Extensions from a real Mac, replaced ACPI, APIC, SMBIOS, and added dsmos, and then updated to 10.5.1 extensions. Everything else works fine except these two problems Thanks, Ant
n0otro
I get the same message when I try to start iMovie. Toast titanium (8 & 9) and Time Machine backup browser also crash with seg faults when I launch them. Are you saying that you fixed your iMovie problem by addressing a printer driver issue? I have an epson cx6000 with the latest drivers and i'm wondering if this could be the problem thanks for your help
