flyme
Hi, I need some advice whether this setup will work: a. Will this motherboard bundle work? http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...AIN#detailspecs its a ASUS P5GC-MX Socket 775 Barebone Kit - Pre-Assembled, Ultra MicroATX Tower Case, 400 Watt Power Supply, Asus P5GC-MX Socket 775 ATX Motherboard and a 7300 video card http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...&CatId=1826 I wanted to build it as double boot with Ubuntu and OS X... ~pcwiz
For that motherboard, the Gigabit LAN doesn't work with Leopard and the onboard GMA graphics are sluggish (on Leopard). I see that you are buying a video card so the GMA won't be a problem but unless you don't want LAN, you will have to buy a PCI Ethernet card. Just get a cheap working PCI Ethernet card like the Realtek 8139. You can find them on eBay for a couple dollars. Your graphics card is good, listed fully working with Leopard. Just make sure you get a Core 2 Duo CPU

CLiDE FTW!!1
Yep, that's a nice setup, BUT: Don't buy the case on the net! And don't use a 400 watt cheap-o PSU! When it blows a week in (or get frequent crashes), you'll know what I mean!
