Hi,

I need some advice whether this setup will work:

a. Will this motherboard bundle work?

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...AIN#detailspecs

its a

ASUS P5GC-MX Socket 775 Barebone Kit - Pre-Assembled, Ultra MicroATX Tower Case, 400 Watt Power Supply, Asus P5GC-MX Socket 775 ATX Motherboard

and a 7300 video card

I wanted to build it as double boot with Ubuntu and OS X...

What would be good CPU to put in this setup?

Thanks for your advise.

For that motherboard, the Gigabit LAN doesn't work with Leopard and the onboard GMA graphics are sluggish (on Leopard). I see that you are buying a video card so the GMA won't be a problem but unless you don't want LAN, you will have to buy a PCI Ethernet card. Just get a cheap working PCI Ethernet card like the Realtek 8139. You can find them on eBay for a couple dollars.

Your graphics card is good, listed fully working with Leopard.

Just make sure you get a Core 2 Duo CPU :(
